At Episcopal Community Services, every person who walks through our doors is greeted with respect, dignity, and an unwavering commitment to finding the right support.
We are seeing more people come to us in these urgent times—when government cuts to food assistance programs, housing subsidies, and healthcare access are putting additional strain on people already living in or on the edge of poverty. These cuts and escalating cost of food prices leave families struggling to put meals on the table, keep a roof overhead, and access the medical care they need to stay well.
More than 1,800 participants this year came into our food pantry compared to 900 last year. The groceries they selected fed nearly 5,000 of their family members.
Thank you for the role you play in allowing ECS to be there for people. Ours is a team and community effort, to be sure. Together, we can meet this moment with compassion, dignity, and action.
