Faith leaders, advocates, and legislators gathered to draw attention to a platform of measures that will help end the epidemic of gun violence, including the following that have passed the Pennsylvania House of Representative and are awaiting action in the Senate:

  1. Requiring universal background checks on all firearm transactions.
  1. Empowering families and law enforcement to temporarily remove guns from individuals at elevated risk of endangering themselves or others.

The prayer and action summit featured prayer sessions, news conferences, and gatherings to honor the victims of gun violence. ECS’ attendance represents another step in our goal to reduce gun violence in the City of Philadelphia and beyond.
